I don’t only make food…. I also create my own natural hair care products! My youngest daughter Christy lost all hair due to food allergies so I started creating this mixture to moisturize her hair. I posted on Facebook about her hair loss and my mother in law messaged me to “massage some listerine into her hair” I had never heard of such a thing! But I was trying to get into my mother in laws good graces sooooo I dabbed some listerine into Christy’s hair after I would shower her. In order to save time and money I got a spray bottle from the dollar tree
And filled it with
1 cup aloe Vera juice
1/4 cup avocado oil
1/2 cup coconut oil
3 Tablespoon Jamaican castor oil
2 caps full of regular listerine (listerine strips the shaft of the hair allowing the oils and moisture products to penetrate the shaft of the hair…I had to study this because people kept asking “really listerine why?” So I became curious and obsessed myself and I got my google on and discovered that…but yeah regular old listerine)
1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 Tablespoon coconut conditioner (any conditioner this makes the spray like a leave in conditioner)
I add lavender essential oil and different essential oils to make the spray more fragrant
Shake it up
I used this on her scalp after showers, when she started to grow hair I used the spray to style her hair. Her hair grew so much people would ask for the recipe for the hair growth spray this is primarily for type 3 and 4 hair. I use the spray as a moisturizer before I style the hair, and as leave in conditioner it’s like the only hair product we use in the home and it’s done wonder on my hair and the girl hair.
Try it out let me know what you think
I’m adding the picture of aloe juice I used I found it at Walmart i was told it’s hard to find so I’m including pictures of the items to help you find them!! Happy hair times!
