It’s been 9 weeks since I decided to start my blog and explore my options in life as Content Creator and writer. My first goal I set for myself was to get 1k followers on Instagram. I worked day and night to learn the details of content creation. I broke the algorithm and crushed my goal. I gained 1187 followers (and counting) organicallyI have done so much and learned so much in the past few weeks. I stopped focus so much on how to “make money” with my blog and started really focusing on being a better blogger. Expanding my vocabulary. Learning more about photography editing. Networking and reading different blogs to learn different writing styles and to converse with like minded writers. I’ve been studying deeper intro the laws of attraction and manifestation. I’ve stopped focusing on my numbers and started truly focusing on in depth content. I began to gratitude journal after following Leeora Alexandra on YouTube
These practices have really focused my day and helped me to stay positive and mindful of the things I have. It takes time to build a business. It takes time to build a brand, it also takes a lot of education. Most of my education had come from YouTube. I spend hours researching topics in the beginning I was so focused on pitching my blog to be sponsored. I was still learning about free lancing and things of that nature so I began to follow Latasha James on YouTube one vlog in particular she discussed pitching your blog to restaurants Latasha James Pitching for Sponsorship I loved this video and watched it over and over wishing I could be that confident, wishing my blog was strong enough to be pitched. Latasha is such amazing inspiration to young female entrepreneurs. She has a marketing group that I hurry up and joined after watching the videos and listening to her podcast. She’s such a wonderful presence and truly cares for her followers she even followed me on Twitter! I’ve taken her courses and everything she is the truth! Just a wonderful driven woman. Truly motivational. I soaked up the information like a sponge.
I tucked away that knowledge until Sunday.
My favorite bar in town started liking post. Something in me said “Just try and pitch your blog idea.” I had idea and searched their page for their marketing, p.r department and sent in an email.
I sent the email Sunday using the techniques I learned from YouTube. I stepped out of my comfort zone like all the law of attraction and manifestation books have said. This is the life I want. I want to be a writer, I want to be a renaissance woman about town, then I have to make those opportunities for myself. I was so nervous. I was excited I finally took the risk and pitched an idea. I’ve wanted to do so for weeks! It felt so amazing! I didn’t know what answer to expect or if they even collaborated with bloggers but I needed to take the risk in order to learn how to properly craft a pitch. I woke up at 0500 to Jedi my email and I got a reply!
Thursday I will be hosted by The apparition room for my lifestyle blog. This email made my whole week. It’s amazing what can be done when you just step a little bit out of your comfort zone. I’ve put it into the universe that I want to make a living being creative. I’m taking the time to learn and implement the things I’m learning as I build my brand. Im so excited about Thursday I can’t wait to see what happens my article is going to be “Batmom’s Guide to Temecula: The Apparition Room.. it’s a speakeasy in Temecula! How cool is that! I have the perfect vintage outfit for this! I’m already waiting outside for Thursday..I’m is READY🤗
