Gratitude Journaling

I’ve been on a spiritual journey of sorts for the last few months. I’ve been taking time to really taking to time appreciate the things I have in my life. I been reading and watching YouTube videos about manifestation. (Law of attraction) I’ve been on this journey for about 3 months I documented my journey in a blog post here 👉🏾🤗(My manifestation Journey “manifestation 101”)One video I came across in May was by Leeor Alexander. Manifestation Journaling basically this is a tool to potentially speed up the process of Manifesting what you’re asking the universe for. I originally started this process because I was just trying to see what is this whole manifestation thing all about? What is this “secret” is this all really or just a bunch of new age hooey! Soo decided to give it shot! My oldest daughter had given me some journals for Mother’s Day. I’m constantly writing, I go through a composition book a month just filled with ideas, to-do list etc so I made day one “manifestation journal”

Bullet Journal style

When I first started I used the bullet journaling method. I basically listed 10 things I was thankful at the end of each of day. I liked the end of the of the day in the beginning because it let me be reflective of the things in my life that I have. Sometimes when I was having a bad day I would take about 3-5 minutes and just write down the things I’m thankful for. The bullet style was easy for that. I didn’t have to get into much detail just a short blurb about why I was thankful and that was enough. It really shifted my mindset sometimes just seeing all I have to grateful for.

Picture journaling (vision board in a book🤷🏾‍♀️)

I love vision boards and I just wanted a portable one I could take with me and just look at the future goals I’m trying to “manifest” (what you’re asking the universe for.. what your working toward… your hearts wishes etc… I’m a weird little tree hugging hippie to I’m into alll this!) I drew the pictures to kind of just put it out into the universe once and for all so I could move on and write about the other things I’m grateful for. The vision board in book was really nice to reference and look back on.

Timed Free Thought gratitude journaling

I’ve moved into time free thought gratitude journaling I just spend 10 minutes a day before I go to work or start my day and I just write down every single thing I’m thankful for. It really uplifts me and motivates me. If I’m down it completely lifts my spirits to see what I have right in front of me. Gratitude journaling gives me prospective when I find myself comparing my life to others, or wondering why things aren’t happening in the time table that I want them to happen in. I can look and see I have so many things to be grateful for. I have a beautiful family, a home, car, career, I’m healthy my kids are healthy I have everything I need. I could dwell on and list all the things I feel I’m lacking but that negative and counterproductive so I focus on the joy. These last few months of gratitude journaling has inspired me to continue this. It fun to read the days and just document the blessings. It’s truly rewarding to just be grateful. Life’s not perfect but if you have life, you have a chance and opportunity to be great and do great things. That’s something to be grateful for each and every day.

    I need to give this a try, I’m always writing things down but never thought to write down what I want to manifest!
